Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum

The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) is a vital arm of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) dedicated to promoting the interests, rights, and professional advancement of women in the legal profession. Established to address the unique challenges faced by women lawyers, the Forum serves as a platform for advocacy, mentorship, capacity building, and networking within the legal community and beyond.

Our Objectives

  • Advocacy & Gender Equity: To lead the conversation on gender parity in the legal profession and advocate for systemic changes that create equal opportunities.

  • Professional Development: To empower women lawyers through training, seminars, and workshops on leadership, legal trends, and emerging opportunities.

  • Mentorship & Support: To create mentorship programs that connect experienced professionals with young and aspiring women lawyers for guidance and growth.

  • Networking & Collaboration: To provide a robust platform for women lawyers to network, share experiences, and build enduring professional relationships.

  • Policy Influence: To collaborate with stakeholders in shaping policies and laws that protect women's rights and advance gender equality in Nigeria.

Our Activities

  • The NBA Women Forum organizes a variety of programs, including:
